HP LaserJet 4 and 4 Plus Printers
| The LaserJet 4 and 4 Plus printers
should be in the Office category but they make a very nice home /
school / small business printer. They have a standard Letter
size paper tray and a front tray that will take up to Legal size. The
4 and 4 Plus are identical
printers and take the same toner cartridge but the 4 Plus is slightly
faster and a little newer. In my opinion, this is one of the
best printers ever made and will outlast any new printer by
decades. Very reliable and low maintenance, best suited for 1
- 1000 pages a day.
The 4M and 4M Plus Printers have 1MB additional memory, Adobe
PostScript and a LocalTalk port making it Mac compatible. They
also come with a 10Base-T JetDirect Ethernet card.
Newer Mac systems will require a LocalTalk to USB adapter.
- 600 dpi and 2 MB Memory
- Toner cartridge lasts about 6000 pages
- Paper Tray holds 250 sheets of Letter size paper
- Has a front tray that is adjustable for Envelopes and regular
paper up to Legal size.
- Standard Parallel and Serial Connection - No USB
- Optional Memory slots, expandable up to 66MB.
- Weighs about 40lbs and is about 18 inches square.
- Up to 12 pages per minute, a very heavy duty and reliable
printer.
